Set in New York’s bear scene, BearCity follows a tight-knit pack of bears, boys and cubs as they gear up for a big party weekend. 21-year-old wannabe actor Tyler and his roommate Simon are both young, cute, and trendy. And if Simon had his way, they’d be sharing a bed, too. But Tyler has a secret that gets in the way of that: he’s attracted to big, burly, hairy bears. Up until now, he’s been too timid to do anything about it aside from flirt online. Enter 30-something bear Fred and his hipster boyfriend, Brent, who happen to be looking for a roommate. Faster than you can say "woof!" Tyler has moved in, starting working with Brent at a local bear coffeeshop, and become part of the couple’s social circle. At the circle’s center is Roger, the hottest musclebear in the tri-state area. Everybody wants him, and if you're also a hot musclebear, you can have him for at least a few hours. Tyler is attracted to Roger, but his chances are slimmer than his own physique - or are they? An unlikely friendship and spark forms between the pair, but a few outside elements keep coming in between them. There’s even more sexual tension at home thanks to Fred, who is reconsidering monogamy, which doesn’t sit too well with Brent. Add in a handful of friends with even more romance, frisky agendas, and problems and you've got a whole lot of fur flying!
